Off sick from work with a cold at the moment, which always feels like a wimpy excuse for being ill, but can't pretend it's flu, and calling it a "man flu" always sounds pretentious. Anyways, have tons of work still to do from home despite my brain being frazzled, which means I've ended up playing games instead.

"Blue Moon" is a boardgamers' game from Reiner Knizia, and anyone who's played "Magic" should feel at home. Keldon Jones has cleverly turned it into a PC/Mac version (very kind of Kosmos to release the artwork) with a brutal AI. It's a great way to learn what is a great two player card game in the non-interweb world. I've only beaten it twice, but then I am ill with man cold.

The "Art of Theft" is a PC game from Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw, who writes the "Zero Punctuation" reviews, and is an old school style platformer that is incredibly addictive, with a story that quickly kicks in, and upgrades that suck you back for one more go to try and better your last attempt at a level. Highly recommended, worth downloading for the next time your office loses it's interweb connection and work stops, or your forced to work from home. ;)

Darkside of the Rainbow: Student stoner folklore maintains that Pink Floyd's the 'Dark Side of the Moon' fits as a soundtrack to the film 'Wizard of Oz'. Thanks to the interweb, you can decide for yourself (c/o digg)
